What it is important to remember, however, is that there are many options out there besides countrywide home loans. You should research all of these other companies for a couple of reasons.

One circumstance that you must consider is that you will not be approved for a countrywide home loan. After all, they do have high standards over there and cannot approve everyone that comes their way. This may not be such a bad thing, however, as countrywide home loans do not meet everyones' financial needs equally. It is best that you do a little bit of shopping around first. This way you can compare what the smaller, lesser known names can offer you in competition with those countrywide home loans. Perhaps you will even find that you can get a lot more for your buck with the little guys than the countrywide home loans cold have ever provided for you.

Avoid the misconceptions.

Many people tend to confuse name brands with implication of quality. While a name brand may often be successful, that does not mean that there are not many smaller competitors out there offering a product or service of equal or even greater value. Take the example of the major national pizza chains. Pizza Hut, Dominoes, and Papa Johns are all wildly successful pizza restaurant chains that have expanded to the point where they are household names. But is their pizza really any better than many of the small mom and pop places that you find on the streets of your town?? Absolutely not!

Accordingly, do not automatically assume that Countrywide is any better than Joe Bob's Mortgage Mania. We do, however, recommend that you extensively research any company with whom you are considering do serious financial business with.
